Lost Horses Fly-In & Public Rally
Washington, D.C. | March 26
Details subject to update
In March, advocates from across the country will gather in Washington, D.C. to rally to save the Lost Horses and put an end to the horse slaughter pipeline. This fly-in brings together grassroots advocates, national organizations, and members of the public for two days of action, culminating in a public rally outside the U.S. Capitol.
Join us, and let’s stop horse slaughter for good.
Public Rally Details
The public rally will take place on Thursday, March 26. Members of the public are encouraged to arrive beginning at 8:30 a.m. The rally will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 10:30 a.m. and will be held at “Section 11” at the green space at the corner of Independence Avenue SE and First Street SE.
Attendees are encouraged to bring signs with clear, visible messages, including “SAFE” and “LOST HORSES.”
The program will include remarks from The Wild Beauty Foundation and other leading organizations working to protect America’s horses.
For those who cannot attend in person, the rally will be live-streamed. A viewing link will be posted on this page and shared via email and social media ahead of the event.
Pre-Rally Gathering
On Wednesday, March 25, we will host a pre-rally cocktail gathering for fly-in participants and invited supporters. This event will provide space to connect, share context for the week ahead, and prepare for meetings and the public rally.
Additional details, including location and RSVP information, will be added soon.
Fly-In Week: Take Action Beyond the Rally
Throughout fly-in week, advocates will be meeting directly with members of Congress and congressional staff. Members of the public who are attending the rally are encouraged to schedule meetings with their senators and representatives while they are in Washington.
Talking points, fact sheets, and meeting guidance will be available for download here.
If you are unable to travel to Washington, you can still be part of this moment. During fly-in week, we are asking supporters across the country to clear space on their calendars to take coordinated action by calling congressional offices and sending messages in support of ending the horse slaughter pipeline.
